Mumbai : Aditi Govitrikar won the title of Mrs. World when she was 27 years old. She became the first Indian woman to achieve this title. At that time she was married to surgeon Muffazal Lakdawala. Shortly before Aditi, Priyanka Chopra won the title of Miss World and Lara Dutta won the title of Miss Universe in 2000. Aditi had won this title in 2001, but she was not treated much better than Lara and Priyanka. He expressed grief over this. Expressed regret over the behaviour.
Aditi Govitrikar told in an interview to Hotterfly that while Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra had received expensive gifts after Miss Universe 2000, she only got a simple bouquet. She said, “I became Mrs. World the same year that Lara and Priyanka also became winners. We had a party, which was really unfortunate.”

After winning the title of Miss Universe 2000, Priyanka Chopra was seen on the cover of Femina and Filmfare magazines. Lara Dutta later appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine. Aditi Govitrikar said, “The funny thing was that I was not in the same publication house as both of them, so they were given flats, cars and other things, and I just got a bouquet.”
In the year 1999, Aditi Govitrikar was seen on the cover of Elle magazine for ‘Baby Bumps’ issue. Aditi told that she was standing next to Lara Dutta in the celebration party. Recalling Lara’s words, Aditi said, “Look, we have a car, a house and you have a husband.” Aditi told that he replied, “This is wonderful. This is also a good thing.”
