Mahindra XEV 7E Electric SUV has been spotted again — this time while charging at a public EV station in Hubli, Karnataka. The prototype, wrapped in heavy camouflage, hints at the brand’s next major step into the electric SUV segment. Here’s everything we know so far about its design, interior, powertrain, features, and expected price in India.
Mahindra XEV 7E Electric SUV Spotted Testing
Recently, a fully camouflaged Mahindra XEV 7E Electric SUV was seen plugged into a public charger. Its charging port is placed exactly where the traditional fuel filler cap would be — a clear indicator of its EV roots.
While the body was entirely covered, the overall silhouette revealed that it closely resembles the Mahindra XUV700. However, the test mule was fitted with aeroblade-style alloy wheels, designed to reduce air drag and improve battery efficiency — a common trait in modern electric vehicles.
Earlier leaked images had already given us a glimpse of the production-ready version, confirming its premium, futuristic styling.
Mahindra XEV 7E Electric SUV Exterior Design

From the front, the XEV 7E takes clear inspiration from its coupe-SUV sibling, the XEV 9E. Expect a full-width LED light bar, inverted L-shaped DRLs, and a closed-off grille typical of Mahindra’s EV lineup. Sleek details like flush-fit door handles and a shark-fin antenna will add to its aerodynamic appeal.
The side profile will largely mirror the XUV700 but with 19-inch sporty alloy wheels on the top-spec variant. At the rear, it will get connected LED tail lamps, a redesigned bumper, a new rear spoiler, and a refreshed C-pillar, giving the SUV a futuristic stance.
